I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
